2) A série parece odiar as ideias do original.

English

I had a lot of respect for ReBoot. It wasn't exactly a series I liked, hving stopped following it a few times while on Manchete (a Brazilian channel), but going back and having plenty of fun with some episodes and the development given to the characters.

I had some respect for Code Lyoko. I was already out of the target public, but it was evident that there was some work so the style wasn't just one more "american anime", something that still seems to be a problem... cof, cof, Neo Yokio, cof, cof...

On the other hand, I had no respect for VR Troopers. Yet another attempt at PowerRangifying Japanese live-action, the show brought al the problems of such attempts, hiding easily understood parts and sanitizing storiues to pretend they are appropriate for a different target audience. Instead of Metalder -a series that still has fans -children got just another hero-hit-villain show without any link to a nw culture or any real drama.

And, unfortunately, this series also does not deserve any respect. Four teenagers that go to a special school -even if they don't show any special skill most of the time -chosen for being at the top of a game's ranking -yes, besides literally finding machines that would never have been abandoned in Code Lyoko style, they are also the last starfighters -which go into a digital world, but not a virtual one, meaning they enter code, instead of interacting with a programme environment -Suuuper Huuuman Samurai! -seen as virtual characters or heads in the dark with lights for controls -something even Robert Downey Jr can't make work all the time even after many movies, and that is being done by terrible actors -and there's a girl who was a program and is put into a humanoid body FOR NO REASON besides "there was a machine for that and somebody activated it -their versio of Alpha, but which doesn't just stay at the command center and makes "human are so confusing" jokes -and they are fighting a hacker, which tramples the more interesting parts of the original, life inside a computer.

That is besides two important details: 1) The stories are on the same level of Power Rangers, with stupid conflict and poorly-thought-out or completely wrong lessons. One of the episodes talks about one of the characters programing a more powerful weapon for himself -imagine that, a student of school SPECIALIZED IN COMPUTER thinking about how to program. No, he won't do that again. alan Turing must be spinning in his grave -and for that is breaking the rules and putting his friends in danger. The result? He is rewarded in the end with more skills by human Alpha and his friends think it's normal to blackmail him for compensation. His last punishment is... playing a game... mimicing a monkey in a gmae of charades... Why would this be a punishment? Did they forget to say he hates this game or something?

2) the series seem to hate the ideas in the original. The adversary imediately can ressurect and enslave one of the biggest enemies in the original, Megabyte, and give him an upgrade.  so he would have the same chest as Decompose from inhumanoids jut to be a minion. In an episode, they literally make copies of Megabyte that seem to have the same skills as the original, which are easily destroyed, meaning the big enemy is worth nothing.

the second of the big enemies, Heaxadecimal, is brought back for a cliffhanger trying to tease for a second season. The production's lack of interest in the original's ideas becomes clear when a being characterized countless times as ewearing masks subtly opens her mouth. Goodbye to the clever scenes when she exchanges masks without letting people see her face. The mask is just her face now, because nothing deserves respect.

If that isn't enough, they show where Mainframe was to try to make their group's leader into a "chosen one" -no, the series doesn't understand how this conflicts with the idea of being selected by a game. In fact, the series even says in the first episode that they had defined roles for each one, even if being selected by a game suggests that others could have been chosen.

More so, they go into Mainframe, where only Bob is still a real character, Dot and Enzo don't effectively participate to the point of having the "character tries something another character knows won't work without being stopped to then hear an explanation right after" mistake when one of the new guardians tries to enter a game cube.

Oh, on top of all that, Mainframe isn't an ordinary computer. It's a game server. All those episodes that suggest the games aren't so frequent and there is only one "user" don't count any more. Now it's a server that is accessed by a dude so obsessed by it that he has a replica of Mike TV. And the game is won with a cheatcode, because no one has learned anything from Pixels.

It's a pure and simple try to make a "copy an paste", Power-Rangers-Style series for dumb kids, without even presenting something unique enough to be interesting. And if you are worse than Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills, you have a problem.

Guardiões da Galáxia 2/ Guardians of the Galaxy 2

Sim, eu sei... Or.

English:

Yes, I know... Everybody's seen it... It's just that I'm a teacher, worker and have no time... Er.
I don't even know how much more time I would have had. But, wnating to see Power Rangers, I found out I would have to go to Paracambi for that, so, GG2 before I loose out on another ticket.
Over all, it's probably a movie slightly inferior to the previous one. Too many things happening to have a simple structure, I'd say. That, however, does not mean it is bad. On the contrary. If you thought the first movie was a 9, this would be a 8.75, with moments perhaps even better than the ones in the first. One such moments is the ending, which I won't describe, but it goes as long as to be two scenes back to back, and still carries a somber moment well throughout this time. I CRIED! I cried, and for... Yeap.
Of course, it wouldn't be inferior to the other if there were no flaws. In general, those are mmoments in which the... "moment" seems a bit forced. It doesn't happen too much, but some 3 times at least. Another issue that's particularly problematic is the characterization of two characters: Drax and Rocket Racoon. Without spoiling anything, because the characters have more time, it's expected their characterization would be more important, but it happens in a more forced manner up to the conclusion of such arcs. In the case of Rocket it is particularly bad.
When talking about Nebula, I don't know if it's bad characterization itself. There are parts that seem forced for a human being in that situation, but not exactly for Nebula.
However, it's not exactly something saying "she's a warrior", but "she's insane." Again, I admit, the two aspects were already there in the other movie as far as I remember, but the balance between them seems a bit off.
the biggest issue to me, in this case as well as with the villain is not if it mtches the comic, which I don't think it does, but if it matches the universe itself. In the villain's case, yes, even if the ending seemed to need more attention towards him in the climax.
So, great songs, only one not feeling great and just good, wonderful interaction, humor that's good to very good, some jokes being a part of the forced storytelling, a very good plot, great fight scenes, despite some three slips, 5 if you count the 2 minor ons in the end. WATCH IT! Even if you've seen it already, watch it again!
And now, some SPOILERS.
