Eu ainda estou bem no começo na leitura do Renascimento da Dc, mas a primeira revista de Mulher maravilha foi uma boa surpresa.
Até antes do evento, as estórias pareciam ser todas com a ideia de "Ei! Mitologia! ...Se Sups fosse uma mulher de Esparta..." Sim, havia um ou dois momentos de "espírito da justiça" para justificar tudo (nem era "da verdade", devo dizer), mas parecia tão... Vazio.
O mais próximo de interessante que eu lembro era Mara tentando libertar Ciclopes e se insinuando que eles estavam pagando por crimes e ela estaria apenas sendo justa ao escolher por não libertá-los ainda. Mas, não deu em nada e era um instante apenas em um capítulo de "Brothers and Sisters do Olimpo." Eu suponho que, ao menos, não era uma das várias novelas globais em que vai ter magia, mas, depois do começo, ninguém lembra que haviam poderes involvidos.
Em sua primeira revista desta fase, Mara fica uma maravilha voltando a usar seu dourado (ainda que eu prefira uma área de cintura menos cheia de couro e de detalhes), em uma montagem que faz o que a primeira do Sups parecia querer fazer.
Entretanto, em vez de tentar justificar a nova fase como "chega de luto", neste caso a ideia é claramente uma crítica às contínuas mudanças ao personagem, sugerindo não só que elas não são naturais, mas que não deviam ter ocorrido. A própria personagem parece sentir-se mal por se deixar levar por tais mudanças, criticando sua atitude até então (ou "falta de").
É uma ótima estória com A Mulher Maravilha retomando seu laço em busca da verdade e as rédeas de sua vida, que também mostra cenários melhores e mostra uma inimiga sendo realmente uma ameaça, em vez do velho e cansativo "Quem é mais forte?" cuja resposta TODOS já conhecem.
Parabéns à DC. Pena que fãs brasileiros da personagem ainda não podem assinar a revista dela sozinha...

I'm still very early in my reading of Dc's Rebirth, but Wonder Woman's first book was a pleasent surprise.
Until before the event, the stories seemed to be "Hey! Mythology! ...If Sups were a Spartan woman..." Yes, there were one or two "spirit of justice" moments tô justificar everything (not even "of truth", I must say), but it was all so... Empty.
The closest to interesting I can remember was Wondie trying to free the Ciclops and being implied they were paying for their crimes and she would just be being fair by choosing not to free them yet. But, it went nowhere and it was but a moment in a chapter of "Brothers and Sisters from Olympus." I guess it was, at least, better than the Globo soap operas in which there'll be magic, but, after the beginning, no one remembers there were powers involved.
In her first book in this phase, Wondie becomes wonderful going back to wearing her gold (even though I prefer a waist area less full of leather and details), in a montage that does what Sups's first seemed to be trying to do.
However, instead of trying to justify a new phase as "enough mourning", in this case the idea is clearly a criticism to the continuous changes to the character, suggesting not only that they were not so natural, but that they shouldn't have happened. The character herself seems to feel bad for letting herself be taken by such changes, criticizing her attitude so far (or "lack there of").
It's a great story with Wonder Woman retaking her lasso in search for truth and the lead of her life, which also shows better scenery and shows her enemy being really a threat, instead of the old and tiresome "Who's stronger?" whose answer EVERYONE already knows. Congrats to DC.
Too bad Brazilian fans still can't sub to just her book...
