Lanterna Verde 52 (originalmente publicada em Green Lantern 50-52): a estória está andando estranha a passos estranhos por motivos estranhos. A cada nova revista, algum elemento que pode ser interessante é introduzido, mas é imediatamente tornado bobo por falta de desenvolvimento ou falta de raciocínio.
Ficando nesta revista -pra que minha memória não me falhe muito -Temos a ameaça de usar a luva se tornando menos sobre poder perder o controle, e mais sobre Hal Jordan talvez virar uma entidade.
E isto é bobo... Por quê? Porque reduz toda ideia de conflito a "ele é o escolhido", que é talvez a mais tola das estorias que se pode fazer. Este não é mais o personagem que pode ter bastante força de vontade e por isso se destaca. Ele é só o escolhido. "Será q ele vai vencer Parallax?" É claro que vai. Ele é o escolhido! Em um mundo de vários escolhidos, sim, mas, ainda assim...
Quando Yusuke Urameshi esta no meio do ultimo torneio, lutando contra um dos três reis do mundo dos monstros e parece que vai se tornar mais forte e criar a armadura dourada, é uma vitória exatamente por ele não o fazer. Ele é ele, ele perde, e ele não se torna só mais uma versão do cara que tinha enfrentado antes...
Por sinal, Parallax possuído pelo... Bem, Parallax... Poderia ser um bom inimigo. Por isso que temos só uma luta básica em que um repete pro outro "euuu sou mais forte" até Parallax, o ser com a força de toda uma bateria central que teria resetado o universo, decidir que vai fugir com seus dentes pontiagudos (sério DC?) e conseguir mais poder...
Não é como se ele estivesse admirando a cidade e houvesse um conflito nisso... Só que é... Não é como se ele tivesse encontrado sua família viva e pudesse basicamente ser um Aranha Escarlate com conflitos existenciais... Só que é... Ele é só um inseto movido a medo... Que foi para um outro universo para matar uma pessoa, se assusta (o medo tem medo?) e decide então matar mais pessoas... Pq dentes pontiagudos!

Superman 51 (Originalmente publicado em Superman 49 e Action Comics 50): E, por falar em desperdício...
Primeiro de tudo, eu venho gostando do desenvolvimento do Sups tendo de se adaptar a não ter poderes. Eu odeio as idéias de que ele se veria como um deus, mas ele notando quão mais trabalhoso é não ter seus poderes e continuar mesmo assim mostra seu caráter.
Ele com a Mulher Maravilha não é em si uma má idéia, mas me soa como algo para realidades alternativas. Para ser honesto, apesar das estórias Mulher Maravilha não estar do meu agrado, eles parecem ao menos estar tentando algo novo. É um tanto bobo -Vide Sups brigando com Wondie pq o jantar que ele fez esfriou antes dela voltar de salvar o mundo -Mas, não me lembro de ter visto algo assim tão frequentemente. Ao menos há algum esforço ali.
As estórias não vem me deixando muito animado, mas a capa da 51 foi exceção. Sups estava tendo de se contaminar com kryptonita para lutar, e na capa da edição declaram com todas as letras "Ressurreição"

Sups passa um bom tempo, não iniciado nesta revista, usando poder que ganha das suas células estarem sendo mortas por Kryptonita. É um sacrifício lento, e até doloroso de se ver, já que ele vem brigando com sua perda de poderes há tempos. Eu diria um pouco mais que o necessário, mas, até aí, e só minha opinião.
Aí temos Metallo, que eu não tinha visto nesta versão até agora (e nossa, como é estúpida a aparência dele agora), que se sacrifica melodramaticamente e sem NENHUM peso ou motivo para tanto. Claro, assumindo que seu "coração" ainda seja só uma grande pedra de Kryptonita, Sups poderia quebra-lá no meio e deixar a outra metade para manter Corben vivo. Passar para a segunda parte, com o virar de 4 páginas já muda a aparência do "coração", de tubo para pedra enrolada, para pedra com só alguns barbantes amarrados, então é de se esperar que eles não saibam como kryptonita funciona.
Sups chega até Savage, agora só um megalomaníaco obcecado com seu "cometa" (a imortalidade dele é dada por fragmentos de um cometa que continuamente a passar perto da terra ao longo dos séculos nesta versão), leva um tiro que teria "toxinas" -porque não basta vencer, vc tem que ter preparada uma arma que nunca saberia que poderia precisar...
E Sups cai na Fortaleza da Solidão... Que o identifica e reconstroi os danos ao seu corpo... Nada dramático. Nada épico. Pela capa, a impressão é que ele seria atirado em um lugar cheio de energia que finalmente seria o que ele precisava para voltar ao normal. Algo entre um milagre e uma cagada fenomenal.
Não... A grande virada da estória é q Sups nunca tinha explorado sua base direito antes...

Oh... Com tanto desperdício de bons personagens e boas oportunidades, quem poderá nos ajudar?
Batman 51 e 52 (originalmente publciados em Batman 50 e Batman Beyond 10, e Batman 51 e 52 e Batman Beyond 11, respectivamente): Felizmente, existe um Batman. Não tenho muito a dizer, porque... São boas estórias. Pura e simplesmente, eu não tenho grandes reclamações destas estórias. Então, para por de forma simples, a saga de Jim Gordon como o novo Batman termina em uma grandiosa batalha.
Eu não vou dizer que o Batman volta de forma grandiosa (isto ocorreu em uma revista prévia), mas Jim Gordon derrota um grande vilão, em meio a uma grande crise, e -vale notar -Batman não simplesmente voltar e consertar tudo sozinho é ABSOLUTAMENTE o que deveria ter acontecido. Esta era a estória de Jim, Jim era o responsável e aquele que deveria terminá-la.
Se alguma coisa, é um claro exemplo de como usar bem seus personagens. Se fosse algo mais como Sups 51, Jim Gordon ou, mais provavelmente, Batman seria jogado contra o Jarineiro, e de seu cinto cairia sobre o símbolo do morcego uma mágica semente com botão on-off que desligaria tudo. Se fosse como Lanterna Verde 51, ele simplesmente encontraria o Jardineiro, que começaria a atacá-lo cegamente até ficar com medo e ir achar mais "espinafre magnético" pra comer e ficar mais forte.
As estórias seguintes -"Gotham É" e "A Lista" no número 52 -São episódios em si, conseguindo facilmente entreter enquanto conseguem seus objetivos, ainda que "A Lista" tenha um objetivo que pode ser considerado mais parolo. Pessoalmente, depois de uma crise, parece apropriado dar atenção a coisas mais simples.
Batman do futuro não me é tão interessante quanto o desenho era, mas ainda é curioso e tem bastante potencial. Na 51, a estória não me foi tão interessante. Em 52 foi, ao menos, mais divertida. O maior problema me parece ser o cenário pós apocalíptico. Não só eu não gostei muito da "ameaça do olho" -Parece exatamente a mesma falta de lógica do filme do Esquadrão Suicida, no qual personagens menores continuam sendo personagens menores, mas magicamente tem uma enorme ameaça que não veria normalmente em suas estórias. -Uma das coisas mais interessantes em Batman do Futuro são as possibilidades tecnológicas. Enquanto eu não acho parte do que ocorre no próprio desenho plausível, a introdução de novas tecnologias sempre foi interessante. Na revista, nada parece realmente novo, ou mesmo um uso novo de algo.
Entretanto, a minha única reclamação real é a capa de Batman 52, que anuncia "Um Morcego Contra o Mundo" e mostra Batman lutando... O que nunca ocorre dentro da revista...
E Liga da Justiça 52 (originalmente publicada em Justice League 52 e Teen Titans 18 e 19): Uma estória sobre Lex Luthor talvez se tornar um novo superman, o que não chega a ocorrer nesta revista; tendo voltado de Apokolips sem se saber o porque ainda, apenas para tentar criar suspense; e usando uma versão diferente de sua armadura, que ainda deixa sua cabeça a mostra, só faltando a escariação do Mercenário no filme de 2003 e uma luz de neon imitando a seta do Aang dizendo "atire aqui, imbecil". Não é interessante, especialmente quando metade da estória é Lex "eu destruiria o universo por lucro" Luthor tentando se humanizar falando de quanto quer acordar sua irmã que está em coma. Eu sinto muito, mas é Luthor. Eu estou mais inclinado a acreditar na capa -que mostra ele com um sorriso malévolo, apesar da estória tentar humanizá-lo -do que na ideia de que ele seria bonzinho agora, quando não muito tempo atrás ele era o "deus de apokolips" e todos esperamos que ele seja escrito como vilão a qualquer momento...
A estória os jovens titãs simpesmente não me interessou. O dilema da Moça Maravilha não é resolvido. Ela continua não sabendo muito mais sobre si, e, de fato, se recusa a saber mais porque "os titãs são sua família" -semideuses devem ter alguma lei contra visitar o Olimpo por pouco tempo e depois retorna ao mundo humano. -Não tem porque qualquer pessoa pensar que isso foi uma resolução, a não ser que se pressuponha que os personagens estão ouvindo um auditório de sitcom falando "owww..." no final.

Keeping to this book -So my memory doesn't betray me too much -We have the threat of the glove becoming less about loosing control of the power, and more about Hall Jordan maybe becoming an entity.
And that's silly... Why? Because it reduces the whole conflict to "he's the chosen one", which might be the silliest of stories you can make. This isn't the character that might have a lot of will power and that's why he's noticeable anymore. He's just the chosen one. "Will he beat Parallax?" Of course he is. He's the chosen one! In a world of many chosen ones, yes, but, still...
When Yusuke Urameshi is in the middle of the last tornament, fighting against one of the three kings of the world of the monsters and it seems he's about to become stronger and create the golden armor, it's a victory exactly because he doesn't. He is himself, he loses, and he doesn't become just another version of the guy he ha faced before...
By the way, Parallax possessed by... Well, Parallax... Could be a good enemy. That's why we have just a basic fight of people repeating "I'M stronger" until Parallax, the being with the power of the whole central battery that would have reset the universe, decides he's going to run away with his pointy teeth (Really, DC?) and get more power...
It's not as if he was admiring the city and there was some conflict there... Except, it is... It's not as if he had met his family alive and could basically be a Scarlet Spier with existential conflicts... Except, it is...He's just a bug driven by fear... Which went into another universe to kill a person, gets scared (fear fears?) and decides to kill more people... Because pointy teeth!

Fist of all, I have been enjoying Sups development having to ajust to not having powers. I hate the ideas of him seeing himself as a god, but him noticing how much more laborious it is not having his powers and still forging ahead shows his character.
Him with Wonder Woman isn't in itself a bad idea, but it feels like something for alternate realities. To be honest, despite Wonder Woman stories not being to my liking, they seem to at lest be trying something new. It's somewhat silly -See Sups fighting with Wondie because the dinner he made was cold before she came back from saving the world -But, I don't remember having seen something like that so frequently. There's at least some effort there.
The storis haven't been getting me too hyped, but the cover on number 51 was an exception. Sups had been contaminating himself with kryptonite to fight, an the cover spells out with all the letters "Ressurrection"

Sups spends a good while, not started in this book, using power gotten by his cells being killed by Kryptonite. It's a slow sacrifice, and even painful to see, since he's been struggling with loosing his powers for a while. I'd say a bit mroe than necessary, but, so far, it's just my opinion.
then we have Metallo, nd I hadn't seen this version until now (and wow, how stupid he looks now), who sacrificies himself melodramatically and without ANY weight to it. Of course, assuming his "heart" is still just a big rock of kryptonite, Sups could break it in half and leave the other half to keep Corben alive. Going into the second part, turning 4 pages already changes the "heart's" appearance, from a tube to a wrapped-up rock, to a rock with just some strings tieing it, so it's expected they don't know how kryptonite works.
Sups gets to Savage, now just a meglomaniac obsessed with his "comet" (his imortality was given by fragments of a comet continuously coming by the earth through the centuries in this version), takes a shot that would have "toxins" -because winning isn't enough, you need to have ready a gun you couldn't possibly know you'd need...
And Sups falls to the Fortress of Solitude... Which identifies and rebuilds the damage to his body... Nothing dramatic. Nothing epic. By the cover, the idea you get is that he would have been thrown into a place full of energy that would finally be what he needed to be back to normal. Something between a miracle and a phenomenal lucky screw up. Nope... The big twist in the story is that Sups hadn't explored his base well before... Oh... With so much waste of good characters and good opportunities, who could possibly help us?
Batman 51 e 52 (originally published in Batman 50 and Batman Beyond 10, and Batman 51 and 52 and Batman Beyond 11 respectively): fortunately, there's a Batman. there isn't much to say, because... they're goo stories. Pure and simply, I don't have big complaints. So, to put it simply, Jim gordon's saga as the new Batman ends in a grand battle.
I won't say Batman comes back in a grandiose way (that happened in the previous book), but Jim Gordon defeats a big villain, amidst a crises, and -it's worth noticing -Batman not simply coming back and fixing everything is ABSOLUTELY what should have happened. This was Jim's story, Jim was the one responsible and he should end it.
If anything, it's a clear example of how to use well your characters. If it was something more like Sups 51, Jim Gordon or, more likely, Batman would be thrown against Mr. Bloom, and from his belt would fall on the bat symbol a magical seed with an on-off button that would turn it all off. If it had been like Green Lanten 51, he'd just find Mr. Bloom, who'd start attacking him blindly until getting scared and going after more "magnetic spinach" to eat and get stronger. the following stories -"Gotham is" and "The list" on number 52 -Are done-in-ones, easily entertaining while achieving their objectives, even if "the List's" could be seen as more cheesy. Personally, after a crisis, it seems appropriate to give attention to simples things.
Batman Beyond isn't as interesting as the cartoon was, but it's still curious and has potential. In 51, I didn't find the story very interesting. In 52, it was, at least, more fun. the biggest problem seems to be the post-apocalyptic scenario. Not only I didn't really care for the "threat of the eye" -It seems to be the same lack of logic in the Suicide Squad movie, in which minor characters are still minor characters, but there's magically a huge threat they wouldn't really see in their stories -One of the most interesting thing in Batman Beyond are the technological possibilities. While I don't find what happens in the cartoon plausible, the introduction of new technologies was always interesting. In the book, nothing really seems to be new, or even a new use of something.
My only real complaint, though, is the cover of Batman 52, which announces "A Bat Against the World" and shows Batman fighting... Which never happens inside the book...
And Justice League 52 (Originally published in Justice League 52 and Teen Titans 18 and 19): A story about Lex Luthor maybe becoming the new Superman, which doesn't actually happen in this book; having come back from Apokolips, though we don't know why yet, just to try creating some suspense; and using a different version of his armor, which still leaves his head wide open, just missing a scar like Bullseye's in the 2003 movie and a neon light like Aang's arrow saying "shoot here, umbass". It's not interesting, specially when half of it is Lex "I'd destroy the universe for profit" Luthor trying to humanize himself talking about how much he wants to wake his comatose sister. I'm sorry, but it's Luthor. I'm more inclined to believe the cover -whcih shows him with an evil smile, despite the story trying to humanize him -than the idea that he woul be a nice guy now, when not long ago he was the "god of Apokolips" and we all expect him to be written as a villain any moment now...
The Teen Titans story simplys did not interest me. Wonder Girl's dilemma isn't solved. She continues not to know much more about herself, and, in fact, refuses to know more because "the titans are her family" -Demigods must have some law against visiting Olympus for too short a time and then coming back to the human world. -There's no reason why any one woul think this was a resolution, unless you assume the characters are hearing a sitcom audience saying "owww..." in the end.

Of course, assuming his "heart" is still just a big rock of kryptonite, Sups could break it in half and leave the other half to keep Corben alive. Going into the second part, turning 4 pages already changes the "heart's" appearance, from a tube to a wrapped-up rock, to a rock with just some strings tieing it, so it's expected they don't know how kryptonite works.
Sups gets to Savage, now just a meglomaniac obsessed with his "comet" (his imortality was given by fragments of a comet continuously coming by the earth through the centuries in this version), takes a shot that would have "toxins" -because winning isn't enough, you need to have ready a gun you couldn't possibly know you'd need...
And Sups falls to the Fortress of Solitude... Which identifies and rebuilds the damage to his body... Nothing dramatic. Nothing epic. By the cover, the idea you get is that he would have been thrown into a place full of energy that would finally be what he needed to be back to normal. Something between a miracle and a phenomenal lucky screw up. Nope... The big twist in the story is that Sups hadn't explored his base well before... Oh... With so much waste of good characters and good opportunities, who could possibly help us?
Batman 51 e 52 (originally published in Batman 50 and Batman Beyond 10, and Batman 51 and 52 and Batman Beyond 11 respectively): fortunately, there's a Batman. there isn't much to say, because... they're goo stories. Pure and simply, I don't have big complaints. So, to put it simply, Jim gordon's saga as the new Batman ends in a grand battle.
I won't say Batman comes back in a grandiose way (that happened in the previous book), but Jim Gordon defeats a big villain, amidst a crises, and -it's worth noticing -Batman not simply coming back and fixing everything is ABSOLUTELY what should have happened. This was Jim's story, Jim was the one responsible and he should end it.
If anything, it's a clear example of how to use well your characters. If it was something more like Sups 51, Jim Gordon or, more likely, Batman would be thrown against Mr. Bloom, and from his belt would fall on the bat symbol a magical seed with an on-off button that would turn it all off. If it had been like Green Lanten 51, he'd just find Mr. Bloom, who'd start attacking him blindly until getting scared and going after more "magnetic spinach" to eat and get stronger. the following stories -"Gotham is" and "The list" on number 52 -Are done-in-ones, easily entertaining while achieving their objectives, even if "the List's" could be seen as more cheesy. Personally, after a crisis, it seems appropriate to give attention to simples things.
Batman Beyond isn't as interesting as the cartoon was, but it's still curious and has potential. In 51, I didn't find the story very interesting. In 52, it was, at least, more fun. the biggest problem seems to be the post-apocalyptic scenario. Not only I didn't really care for the "threat of the eye" -It seems to be the same lack of logic in the Suicide Squad movie, in which minor characters are still minor characters, but there's magically a huge threat they wouldn't really see in their stories -One of the most interesting thing in Batman Beyond are the technological possibilities. While I don't find what happens in the cartoon plausible, the introduction of new technologies was always interesting. In the book, nothing really seems to be new, or even a new use of something.
My only real complaint, though, is the cover of Batman 52, which announces "A Bat Against the World" and shows Batman fighting... Which never happens inside the book...
And Justice League 52 (Originally published in Justice League 52 and Teen Titans 18 and 19): A story about Lex Luthor maybe becoming the new Superman, which doesn't actually happen in this book; having come back from Apokolips, though we don't know why yet, just to try creating some suspense; and using a different version of his armor, which still leaves his head wide open, just missing a scar like Bullseye's in the 2003 movie and a neon light like Aang's arrow saying "shoot here, umbass". It's not interesting, specially when half of it is Lex "I'd destroy the universe for profit" Luthor trying to humanize himself talking about how much he wants to wake his comatose sister. I'm sorry, but it's Luthor. I'm more inclined to believe the cover -whcih shows him with an evil smile, despite the story trying to humanize him -than the idea that he woul be a nice guy now, when not long ago he was the "god of Apokolips" and we all expect him to be written as a villain any moment now...
The Teen Titans story simplys did not interest me. Wonder Girl's dilemma isn't solved. She continues not to know much more about herself, and, in fact, refuses to know more because "the titans are her family" -Demigods must have some law against visiting Olympus for too short a time and then coming back to the human world. -There's no reason why any one woul think this was a resolution, unless you assume the characters are hearing a sitcom audience saying "owww..." in the end.
