Quanto a Lanternas Verdes #2 -que eu li ontem, então ainda está na memória -Foi bastante interessante. Planeta Ira 3 e 4 (Originalmente publicadas em Green Lanterns 3 e 4) continua a saga de dois novos reccrutas dos lanternas verdes e não precisamos esmiuçar demais. Continua sendo uma estória de ação somada ao relacionamento padrão para uma estória policial entre dois novos recrutas.
Uma coisa que merece destaque é que Bleez, da tropa dos lanternas vermelhos, É CURADA PELO PODER DE SIMON BAZ. Por 4 páginas, a personagem sedenta por sangue cuja apresentação passou de sexualizada para atacada do nada e parecia estar ali apenas para usarem uma personagem popular, subitamente tem um propósito para a estória e um impacto para sua evolução como personagem... E claro, ela sai da estória logo depois. -_-
O que me faz comentar a estória -apesar de não tão extraordinária, mas divertida -é que isso resolve um dos grandes problemas no folclore dos Lanternas Verdes. Desde sempre, lanternas verdes são os que usam "força de vontade", sendo capazes de vencer grande medo. Isso sempre foi criticado já que coragem parece ser o que querem dizer com isso, mas esta distinção sempre foi feita.
Da forma que é apresentada esta cura, assim como a forma em que Simon ajuda sua colega a sair do controle mental que está infectando o mundo, a luz verde de seu anel parece dar-lhes forças para fazer o que fariam por sua própria natureza.
Finalmente, esta distinção faz mais sentido. Uma pessoa não precisa de coragem para deixar de lutar ou não atacar alguém que não está a atacando. Pelo contrário, eles precisam de auto controle, e se forçarem a não fazer algo que querem.
Não é como se coragem não pudesse ser usada para representar isso, mas normalmente se fala de não ter medo. Não ter medo costuma significar que a pessoa age conforme quer e não se para pensando nas consequências. Força de vontade, porém, é mais neutra, sendo mais aplicável a ambas as situações.
Ah, e Hal Jordan aparentemente é o Último Lanterna, apesar da estória apresentar vários outros retornando ao universo... Fora isso, basta dizer que Sinestro ser um vilão não é surpreendente, embora sua evolução na estória pareça apontar para algo interessante -Certamente mais interessante que Hal Jordan como Parallax simplesmente aparecendo do nada antes do Renascimento -E que eu finalmente vi algo com Guy Gardner em que ele parecia realmente interessante.

Yes you read it right. I really spent all this time without being able to read the DC comics I've been getting. the ones I read, basically the number 2s, as far as I remember, were good, except, of course, for Harley Quinn. Maybe I'll take a look at them before going to the number 3s.
As for Green Lanterns #2 -which I read Yesterday, so it's still in my memory -Was pretty interesting. Rage Planet 3 and 4 (Originally published in Green Lanterns 3 and 4) continues the saga of two new recruits in the green lantern corps and we don't need to scrutinize too much. It continues being an action story added to a standard police story relationship between two new recruits.
Something that deserves mention is that Bleez, from the red lanterns, IS HEALED BY SIMON BAZ'S POWER. For 4 pages, the bloodthirsty character whose presentation went from sexualized to attacked out of the blue and seemed to be here just so they could use a popular character, suddenly has a purpose for the story and an impact for her evolution as a character... And, of course, she leaves the story right after. -_-
What makes me comment the story -despite not being extraordinary, but fun -is that this resolves one of the big problems in the Green Lanterns lore. Since forever, green lanterns are the ones who use "will power", being capable of overcoming great fear. This has always been criticized since courage seem to be what they mean by it, but this distinction has always been made.
The way this healing is shown, as well as the way in which Simon helps his partner get out of the mind control that's infecting the world, the green light from his ring seem to give them strength to do what they would by their own nature.
Finally, this distinction makes more sense. A person doesn't need courage to not fight or not attack someone who isn't attacking them. On the contrary, they need self control, and forcing themselves to not do something they want to.
It's not as if courage couldn't be used to represent this, but usually it's used to talk about having no fear. Not having fear means the person acts as they want and isn't stopping themselves thinking about consequences. Will power, however, is more neutral, being more applicable to both situations.
Oh, and Hal Jordan apparently is the Last Lantern, though the story presents various others returning to the universe... Outside of that, let's just say Sinestro being a villain isn't surprising, though his development in the story seems to point to something interesting -Certainly more interesting than Hal Jordan as Parallax simply showing up out of nowhere before Rebirth -And that I finally saw something in which Guy Gardner really seemed interesting.
